Choosing a cell: four questions

How much current does the device draw at peak? This decides the cell type before capacity does.

How much space and weight is available? This decides the format.

What temperature will it work in? Cold and heat change what a cell delivers.

How many cycles and how many years? Daily use and occasional use call for different cells.
Cells or finished packs?
You can buy cells to build your own packs, or let us build the pack. A finished pack adds the BMS, welding, enclosure and testing.

Handling and shipping
Loose cells are lithium batteries and are regulated for transport. UN38.3 and MSDS documents are available, and we pack and label to the rules.
Cell chemistries
Matched cells and pack safety
Cells in one pack should be the same model and batch, sorted by capacity and internal resistance. A pack also needs a BMS for over-charge, over-discharge, over-current and temperature protection. If you build your own packs, we can supply cells and review your design. If you want a finished pack, we build it.
