What a UPS battery has to do
- Hold charge in standby. Low self-discharge and a float charge that suits lithium.
- Deliver at once. The pack must carry the full load, including inrush, when the grid drops.
- Report its state. The UPS reads charge level, current and faults.
- Fit the case. 48 V rack packs, shelf packs or internal modules for UPS makers, in the same space as the old battery.
Lithium or lead-acid in a UPS
If your UPS has a lead-acid charger, check that its charge profile suits lithium, or let us supply a matching charger.
Voltage and layout
Your UPS inverter decides the voltage. Send the DC bus voltage, power rating and the backup time you need. We work out the cell layout and check the discharge current. Cell selection
BMS, communication and charging
The BMS balances cells and protects against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit and temperature.

Documents, order size and delivery

Load, not rating
Size the battery from the real load and the backup time, not only the UPS label.
Rack or standalone
Rack modules need set dimensions and handles. Standalone packs have more freedom.
Parallel use
If you plan to connect several packs, tell us. The BMS and wiring must allow it.
Charger match
The UPS charger must suit LiFePO4 cells, or the pack needs its own charger.
Monitoring
Decide if the UPS or a monitor needs to read battery status.
