Custom Battery Packs for Heated Jackets, Vests and Gloves
A heated apparel battery is a slim, safe, rechargeable pack that sits in a pocket and powers the heating elements. Jetray builds custom packs for heated clothing brands and factories, matched to your voltage, connector and garment pocket.

Three common power systems
The garment's heating elements decide the voltage. A 7.4 V garment must use a 7.4 V pack. We match the voltage, plug and polarity to your design.

5 V USB
- How it works
- A power-bank style pack with a USB output
- Typical use
- Light vests and entry-level jackets

7.4 V
- How it works
- Two Li-ion cells in series, with a dedicated plug
- Typical use
- Jackets, vests, base layers

12 V
- How it works
- Three cells in series, with a DC plug
- Typical use
- High-heat work wear
What the pack has to do
- 01Stay slim and light. It sits in a pocket against the body, so shape and weight matter.
- 02Stay safe near the skin. Protection against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit and high temperature.
- 03Run long enough. Run time depends on capacity and on heat level and number of heating zones.
- 04Charge simply. USB-C, a barrel jack or a charging dock.
- 05Be easy to use. A power button and LED levels for heat and charge.
Match the pack to the garment
These are starting points. Send your heating element specification and we calculate the load.
Work out the capacity

- Find the power of the heating elements at each heat level, in watts.
- Divide by the voltage to get current.
- Multiply by the hours you want at each level.
- Add margin, since batteries lose capacity in the cold.
Example: a 20 W heating load at 7.4 V draws about 2.7 A. A 5 Ah pack would run about 1.8 hours at that level. This is an example only. We calculate it from your data.

Documents and shipping

Lithium batteries need transport documents. UN38.3, IEC 62133 and MSDS documents are available, with transport reports and certification reports for each shipment. Tell us your selling markets, such as the US, EU or UK, so we check which other documents your buyers ask for. We ship worldwide from Shenzhen. Quality and certification →
Timing and order size
Heated clothing sells in winter, so plan early.
Custom packs usually take one to two months, and samples are charged. Items in stock ship without waiting. MOQ depends on the product, so send your quantity. Start sampling before your season's production deadline. Prototyping and samples → Cost and MOQ →

Mistakes to avoid with heated clothing batteries
- 01
Choosing size before comfort
WhyThe pack sits against the body. Weight, thickness and edges matter.
- 02
Ignoring the heater's power
WhyRun time follows the heater's watts, not only the battery label.
- 03
Wrong connector
WhyPlug type and cable length decide how the pack fits the garment.
- 04
Heat in the pocket
WhyKeep heat and charging temperature safe through BMS settings.
- 05
Not testing in the cold
WhyTest a sample at winter temperatures.

Frequently asked questions
Most use 5 V USB, 7.4 V or 12 V. The garment's heating elements set the voltage.
Only if the jacket is made for 5 V USB. A 7.4 V or 12 V garment needs a pack of the same voltage.
Work out the heating power, convert it to current, and multiply by the hours you want. Add margin for cold weather.
We can build a flat LiPo pack to a size you give us. Send the pocket size and thickness limit.
The pack has protection against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit and high temperature. Tell us the use, and we confirm the case and protection.
Yes. We support private label, including label and packaging.
It depends on the product. Send your quantity and we confirm.
